Britain At War
The Fens, also known as the Fenland(s), are a naturally marshy region in eastern England. Most of the Fens is located in Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. The terrain makes for terrible farmland unless drained, but is very easy to defend. Most of the inhabitants are Christians, mostly monks, nuns, and hermits, and as such, many of the villages and communities feature churches, hermitages, and abbeys.
